spreading the wealth

1 Citation
In the parable of the Baal Shem Tov, the son of the King is described as distributing everything in his posession for it is without value. The only thing of value to him is the presence of his Father, the King.Classically, the midah of freely distributing one's wealth, a practice generally reserved for tzaddikim, usually deals with material wealth.I'm going to, with the aid of a Torah of Rebbe Nachman, reexamine this midah in the realm of spiritual wealth as w, technorati.com

Naaleh - Proving Cyberspace Can Be Personal

1 Citation
Late in the year of 2006, I came across an interesting website, an ?online Torah school.? I was intrigued, and registered for a free trial period. This was before Naaleh went completely Free! It?s been almost two years since I discovered Naaleh, and it has changed my life. Being able to watch outstanding Torah classes whenever I wanted was impressive enough, but my real turning point started several months ago when Naaleh sent out an email announcing a pilot program. BITACHON-----hashgacha pratis vs. klalis

1 Citation
MistakesHelp16 Posted - 06 July 2008 15:46 A few years ago I learned a k'li yakar in Chumash class, and it was about hashgacha pratit. I may be wrong, but I distinctly remember learning that not everyone merits hashgacha pratit...only the tzadikim. Nonjews and Jews who are not tzadikim only merit hashgacha klallit. Is this true, or did I totally misconstrue the whole k'li yakar?? If it is true, how does someone facing hardships cope with knowing that they may not even be worthy of hashgacha prat, technorati.com

Diving in to Torah Head First

7-25-06 I just did one of the most difficult things in my entire life. I just told my best friend and girlfriend that we can?t see each other for six months because we both know it?s what needs to happen. Everything was amazing. There were of course little skirmishes, but I love her. Bailey is my best friend. I know that I wouldn?t have grown into the man that I am ft not for her presence in my life. Emunah Issues

1 Citation
I no longer believe that G-d only gives people as much as they can handle. If that were true, I would have died about two months ago. I think it's just a trite cliché that someone came up with in order to help deal with a difficult situation and/or bad times. (Maybe it was Bad4's "Mysterious They.") Think about it: by its very nature, faith is an intangible entity. Yet we are often told to have, technorati.com

Bitachon (Trust) in G-d

1 Citation
The common perception of this concept is that we trust in G-d that whatever happens to us will be good. That is, we believe G-d is good, and that whatever endeavor we undertake and any situation we find ourselves in, then because G-d is good, things will be good. Of course, there are two possible outcomes. Either the even will turn out good, or it won't. So what happened? The usual explanation is that it depends on whether we are worthy or not. That is, if we merit it, then it will be for the go, technorati.com

1 Citation
Perek Shira ? 22nd Sivan, 5769 Perek Shira: Keep The Faith, The Night Will Soon End Sunset is beautiful and sad. The day is over. As we watch the darkness slowly creep in it can set off a state of panic. Will it ever get light again? Will the day come back? Although the past is never an indication of the future nevertheless we all relax with the perfect belief that the night will not stay forever. The morning will come and bring back the light. A new day will begin an, technorati.com

Tefila ? Bi?urei Tefila ? 3rd Tammuz, 5769 Eitzos And Machshavos ? Just Leave The Game Plan To Hashem In the closing Tefila of Shmoneh Esrei we ask Hashem that all those who stand up against us and think of evil things to do to us, ?Hafer Atzasam V?Kalkel Machshavtam?, nullify their plans and ruin their thoughts. What is the meaning of this double language? Maybe we can suggest as follows. Eitza is a game plan how to reach our specific goal. Machshava is the underlying go, technorati.com
