1 Citation Jun62009Posted in TV Land, The Andy Griffith Show. It?s Saturday morning and TV Land is showing something other than Bonanza and Gunsmoke?n fact, it appears that they?re running The Andy Griffith Show through 8:00pm tonight. Oddly enough, unless the listings are just wrong, every episode being shown today seems to have been produced in 1961. It?s entirely possible: back then, a television season consisted of more than 30 episodes rather than the 20 or so we get now.And when it comes to The An, technorati.com

1 Citation Note: All right, so I?m back. I took a week off to take care of some personal stuff and work on my other writing projects and in doing so I realized something: I can?t do this blog every weekday in the way that I was and still have time to pursue other goals. Now, don?t worry, there will still be daily content on here every Monday through Friday. It?ll just be a little different. Since the ?Standpoint? section seems to be the one you all like the most, I?m separating it from each daily post., technorati.com

Who Needs Pictures of Brad Paisley? We Do 1 Citation It?s been just about 10 years since Brad Paisley released his debut album, Who Needs Pictures . And in the decade since, he?s done a lot of guitar playing on stage. So to commemorate the milestone, The Tennessean newspaper in Nashville has created a photo album of 21 pictures from Paisley as a little boy to Paisley as a grown man. Some with his cowboy hat, some with a ball cap, some with no hat. Some alone, a couple with Keith Urban and one with Andy Griffith . It?s a fun collection. T, technorati.com

1 Citation Russ Meyer's "Mudhoney" (1965), is one twisted, dark, mean, southern gothic melodrama of a movie...like The Andy Griffith Show gone horribly awry. This movie has a down home charm, but there is an ominous and foreboding atmosphere throughout, with a shuddering sense of violence of depravity. "Mudhoney" is a about an ex-prisoner Calif McKinney (played by John Furlong) who comes into town looking for work. He finds a job at a farm that is owned by Lute Wade ( Stuart Lancaster) but ran by the dru, technorati.com

1 Citation You know, I can still remember being very young and how much fun it was. Or at least I think I remember it being fun. I felt safe, lacking stress or pressure, and was interested in what the great outdoors had to reveal. Now, you have to know that I lived in a pretty nice neighborhood, where the family ate dinner together, we all went to church on Sunday, and where it was OK to play in the street, ride your bicycle, climb trees and build forts. If you skinned your knee, the neighbor called your, technorati.com
