Metaport and Cancer Free, Swedish Chef Style 2 Citations So this morning was the big day. A day I've been waiting for for the past year. I am officially cancer and metaport free. I went in for surgery around 10am this morning and got home home heavily sedated around 3pm this afternoon. I have to say I love my medical team throughout this process. When I was first diagnosed I considered going to Sloan Kettering, but St. Vincent's Cancer Center really adds a personal touch to everything and it makes a difference. If you're going to San Francisco... 1 Citation As I talk to my friends back home it's bizaar after 20 years on the east coast and brutal summers in the city to be in a place where it's sunny, but with no uncomfortable humidity. Our decision to move across the country was not an easy one. After my fight this past fall my longing grew to be in another city equal in culture, but a bit slower in pace to NYC. The focus of video was a simple yet powerful question; "What Do You Stand For?" You'll see the result of Tara's efforts attached. Cancer is Boring Site Redesign 1 Citation I initially started this site this past November when I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Burkitt's Lymphoma. I used it as a site where my friends/family could follow my treatment, my good days and bad. The road was rough and I am thankful to be here continuing to write about my experiences.A PET/CT scan in February changed my life and showed that the chemo was successful. Especially when you saw your friend two days before the diagnosis at a bar enjoying a beer. Maybe its a different person with your friends name? Maybe not.
