1 Citation "In an effort to increase Caribbean Airlines' viability in the "highly competitive airline industry", Parliament yesterday granted a tax exemption to the State-owned airline (on withholding tax on lease payments made by CA) amounting to US$2 million a year. Finance Minister Karen Nunez-Tesheira said the current withholding tax liability of CA was estimated between US$1.5 million and US$2 million annually. This represents a substantial expense to the airline, in view of the fact that the lessors of aircraft insist that lease payment be made to them, net of taxes, she said. (WTF!), delicious.com
