Better predictions require both better in situ data and space monitoring coupled to a fully three-dimensional high-resolution (< 1 km) computational model.? As usual, there are no hard and fast predictions and the models need to be improved.
Professor Jonathan Bamber at Bristol University, lead author of the study, said: ?There's a vast body of research that's looked at the likelihood of a WAIS collapse and what implications such a catastrophic event would have for the globe.
