Interpolation methods

4 Citations
Discussed here are a number of interpolation methods, this is by no means an exhaustive list but the methods shown tend to be those in common use in computer graphics. The main attributes is that they are easy to compute and are stable. Interpolation as used here is different to "smoothing", the techniques discussed here have the characteristic that the estimated curve passes through all the given points. The idea is that the points are in some sense correct and lie on an underlying but unknown curve, the problem is to be able to estimate the values of the curve at any position between the known points., delicious.com

Epson EH-TW5800 Projector Review

1 Citation
The Epson EH-TW5800 is one the company?s newest projectors. This model features 1600 ANSI lumens, full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, and a 75000:1 contrast ratio. Recently, the writer from Trusted Reviews released their experience with the TW5800. One of the best qualities the writer commented about was the huge contrast ratio. This feature created some amazing detail and some serious black levels. Another feature that the writer tended to harbor was the projector?s frame interpolation system, technorati.com

LCD HDTV Reviews: The Sharp Aquos LC-52D85U

1 Citation
Every HDTV model has its own pros and cons, which are both worth considering when shopping for an HDTV. The Sharp Aquos LC-52D85U, for example, consumes less electricity than most models but produces black levels which are not too deep. It has other pros and cons, as well, which you should look into before buying one. One of the best features of the Sharp Aquos LC-52D85U is its excellent 120 Hz video processing system, which allows it to display up to 120 frames per second - five times the fil, technorati.com

The Many Uses Of Motion Tween In Adobe Flash CS4

1 Citation
Tweening is a term used in several software packages which have animation features. It refers to the automatic interpolation of frames based on the content of two keyframes. Programs that offer animation tend to use the same technique as is used in motion pictures: namely the creation of multiple frames each containing different content. When the images are played back rapidly, they appear to contain a moving sequence rather than simply a succession of images. Creating the content of each fram, technorati.com

Fitting Polynomials Quickly

1 Citation
Given two points, it is easy to find the equation of a line between them. But how difficult is it to fit a parabola to three arbitrary points, or a cubic to four, etc.? First I?ll consider a cold-blooded way to do this, then a recursive method. Suppose you want to fit an -degree polynomial perfectly through points, You know the polynomial will have the form . Plugging in the values of the and coordinates, we get linear equations in the variables ., technorati.com

Image interpolation in firmware for 3D display

1 Citation
This thesis investigates possibilities to perform image interpolation on an FPGA instead of on a graphics card. The images will be used for 3D display on Setred AB?s screen and an implementation in firmware will hopefully give two major advantages over the existing rendering methods. First, an FPGA can handle big amounts of data and , technorati.com
