Evening Update- another disturbance on the way 1 Citation 8:13 PM A disturbance along the stationary front is approaching the forecast area this evening with an area of showers and thunderstorms. Given the heavy rain that has fallen, flood warning have been issued for parts of southeastern Pennsylvania this evening. These showers will continue to progress eastward through the overnight hours and will be aided by a developing low level jet stream at 850 MB, which will push mid level moisture northward into the forecast area. However, over the past few hours another important feature is starting to take hold over the Mid Atlantic back through the eastern Ohio Valley. Another cool, raw day for this summer 1 Citation 7:34 AM The theme for this summer, raw and cool, looks to continue as once again the forecast area is positioned north of a stationary front this morning. The forecast area is clearly under the influence of a marine air mass as an easterly wind fostered by high pressure over Maine and a stationary front over Virginia brings in the cool air mass from the Atlantic.
