If you maintain a lot of social networks, like many artists and musicans, it?s often difficult for people to find all your different profiles without you sending them direct (and often long) links. Today i got an email from my friend deepchild, a musician and avid internet user, with a brilliant new way to simplify everything.Check out his new email signature:www.deepchild.com/twitterwww.deepchild.com/flickrwww.deepchild.com/you tubewww.deepchild.com/myspacewww.deepchild.com/facebook, blogmarks.net

Ubiquitous Angels; ambient sensor networks to crowd source crisis response and community awareness

1 Citation
Criticism ? Side effects often dominate over intended consequences of any project or endeavor. ? Abstract views may make us callous or may badly re?ect ground truth. ? Ignorance is bliss. The world is ?lled with sob stories. Best to not dwell? ? Such services may be used solely for the most banal aspirations and goals. ? Struggle may be important - making things too easy may harm ?tness and lower diversity of skills and abilities over long term. ? What about poor people who are outside of any implied technological social network? ? Why not just help people around you? ? Any technology should go hand in hand with day to day personal practice that is unmediated? ? Feedback loops may be created that accelerate and disrupt society. ? Virtual and visual only for curators; not tactile; uses only one sense. A concern?, blogmarks.net

Facebook has long touted their privacy settings as being highly customizable and secure, so you can be more open and comfortable about sharing information with just the people you choose. But how would you feel if that information was accessible to anyone, anywhere, even if your account was COMPLETELY hidden?, blogmarks.net

Stop Justifying RDF and RDFa | Bb RealTech

I did want to apologize for assuming that the XHTML errors I had recently were due to WhatWG members having fun at my expense. I've had people deliberately break my XHTML-based comments in the past when I've written about XHTML, and the break was documented with a screenshot in the web site of a WhatWG member. I put 2 and 2 together and came up with 5. (1/10/2009) Anne VK est taquin (see via).

Obama | One People

1 Citation
The City illustrates the emotional flow of the Presidential Inauguration in Washington, D.C. Through an analysis of the number of mobile phone calls made in Washington D.C. on Inauguration Day and the home state or country of phone origin, it is possible to see peaks of call activity as the crowd anticipates President Obama's oath, a drop in call activity as the crowd listens to his inaugural address, and peaks again as the crowd celebrates the inauguration of the new President. Through their cell phones, those present at the historic event share their impressions with friends and family in vast numbers: on the morning of January 20th, call activity is two to three times stronger than usual, and it rises to five times the normal levels after 2 pm as President Obama takes his oath and people begin to celebrate., blogmarks.net
