1 Citation The plan for today was to go and see my doctor first thing. I talked myself out of seeing him and then talked myself back into it again. My own doctor is away, but I?ve got an appointment with the youngest of the partners at 9am. I haven?t seen him before, so I?m hoping we get on ok. I had neuralgia badly on both sides yesterday, and from what I?ve read you never get it on both sides at once, so I want to speak to him about that mainly. Also, when I had my teeth out they said that my blood, technorati.com

1 Citation Well, the doctor was about as much use as a pork pie at a Jewish wedding! He told me that the pain wasn?t trigeminal neuralgia, it?s because I grind my teeth at night! As if the dentist wouldn?t have said something about it in the 7 years I?ve been seeing her, if that was the case. My tempro-mandibular joints are tender apparently. The tablets he could give me would have been amitriptyline, which I?m already taking, so if it is that why have I still got the pain? If you see what I mean! I, technorati.com

Ben's Friends: Patient to Patient Support Networks 1 Citation Long-time readers know that Ben Munoz , a friend and Kellogg Business School classmate, and I have founded 3 patient to patient support networks. Guess what, Ben has started blogging and it's like a blast of Chicken Soup for the Soul everyday. Before I talk about his blog, here's the quick back story for newbies: The first patient network was AVMSurvivors.org , which Ben heroically founded himself as a response to his life threatening AVM aneurysm. Ben felt isolated, lonely and informat, technorati.com

1 Citation I?ve had a bit of an odd day healthwise. I woke up tired from coughing. Then I went into town and felt ok on the way down, then felt a bit peculiar in ?TK Maxx? so had a sit down outside for a little while. Oh, and when I was in ?TK Maxx? I almost lost my balance at one point. I wonder if the labyrinthitis could be starting up again. Then when I walked back up the hill it was like my legs were made of lead and I kept catching my feet, especially my left foot. I?ve had quite a bit of pain i, technorati.com

1 Citation I went into town with Mum this morning. I got a teddy for her from the boys for Mother?s Day. I?m giving her plants and money, and a ?Mum? spoon rest. I couldn?t really think of anything much else to do and Mum loves her garden. Her birthday is only about a month away, so I?ll have to think again about that one. I?ve been wanting a (small) chandelier for my bedroom, and have been eyeing one in Bhs, so Mum bought it for me for my birthday next month. There?s an electrician coming next week, technorati.com

1 Citation Well, today is ?teeth out day?. A nurse/receptionist rang me up last night to tell me not to eat anything after midnight, and not to drink anything after 8am. The not eating is not a problem, but I?m not looking forward to two and a half hours of a very dry mouth. I shall have to whip out the synthetic saliva spray. I?m glad she rang because having not had a letter about my first appointment I hadn?t had a list of instructions either. It would be awful to get there and then have it cancelled be, technorati.com

1 Citation There is a nationwide oxycodone shortage. NO ONE has any. To make matters worse, everyone is telling a different story. One pharmacy blamed the FDA and their "guidelines" as to how much of the med can be made. Another blamed a recall. One told my dh that there was a "problem with a precursor" to the drug. News articles are also confusing. Most blame the FDA, but some seem to doubt there's even a shortage at all. The FDA itself denied it until a few days ago. Their website now acknowledges the sh, technorati.com

1 Citation There?s nothing like four icy cold paws landing on your bare skin and a few sandpaper licks to your nose to wake you up in the morning! I?m talking about the cat by the way! Actually I was already awake, which is just as well. I usually stay in bed until I?ve said my prayers in the morning. I have no idea why I got up so early on a Sunday, but I?m not much of a lying-in sort of person, more of a go back to bed in the afternoon sort of person! Yesterday my uncle came around with one of his gran, technorati.com

1 Citation I?ve been de-purpling my bedroom this morning this morning. My basic colour scheme is brown and cream, and then I add in an accent colour. For the Winter it was purple, but I?m changing it to duck egg blue for the Spring and Summer. It?s just a matter of changing over some cushions, a throw, and some vases and ornaments. I love duck egg blue, it?s one of my favourite colours. We have another glorious day today, sunshine, blue sky, the lot. I bet there will be a lot of people on the beaches, technorati.com
